I am a Sydney based artist specialising in portrait, figurative and still life paintings.
I obtained my degree in Visual Arts from the City Art Institute and not long after went to live near London in Buckinghamshire England. Whilst bringing up a young family I took the opportunity to return to art school and obtained the ‘Higher Bucks Diploma in Painting’ from the Amersham and Wycombe College.
I loved being able to study art again and practiced portraiture using my two little daughters as my models. I documented their childhood extensively in my paintings and continue to use them as models now they have grown into adults, exploring their very different personalities with a feeling of timeless romanticism.
In 2001 I returned to live in Sydney and trained at the Julian Ashton Art School where I was awarded the Thea Proctor Scholarship in 2012.
In 2015 I joined the Royal Art School and have been a student of portraiture with both Yve Close and Pamela Irving. I had a solo exhibition at the Eva Bruer Gallery in Paddington in 2012 and have subsequently been involved in many group exhibitions and have been selected for the Hunters Hill and Lane Cove exhibitions.
In 2017 I was accepted as an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society in Lavender Bay.
